A PRISONER is in police custody today after handing himself in after he absconded from a Suffolk prison. Duncan McCormack, who was serving time at Hollesley Bay open prison, made off from a work placement in the Woodbridge area yesterday afternoon.

Duncan McCormack, who was serving time at Hollesley Bay open prison, made off from a work placement in the Woodbridge area yesterday afternoon.
McCormack, 45, was in prison after committing offences including robbery and grievous bodily harm.
A police spokesman said he handed himself in at Ipswich police station shortly before 11pm last night.
The spokesman added: “He will be returned in due course to the prison authorities.”
