ActivIpswich has launched an archery taster course to help those aged 45 and above into regular activity.
The four-week taster course begins on Monday, June 26 at Gainsborough Sports Centre in Ipswich, and is available for people regardless of skill level or experience.
“We held our first archery taster back in March and the feedback was fantastic with so many people being prepared to come along and have a go at a new sport and enjoy the challenge,” said Mike McCarthy, ActivIpswich co-ordinator..
“Archery is a terrific sport to get involved with as it provides a high skill challenge and is more physical than you might imagine. Having said that, it is a very inclusive sport with many participants having a disability or long term health condition.”
The sessions are £4 per person. To find out more and to book a place contact Mike McCarthy on 01473 345350 or email mike@activlives.org.uk.
