Archery, balloon-modelling, storytelling and beekeeping are just some of the activities planned for a charity’s annual celebration event.

ActivLives will host its free Big Garden Party on Saturday, July 22 from 11am to 3pm at the People’s Community Garden in Halifax Road, Ipswich.

There will be something for all the family. Children will be able to try their hand at archery and bushcraft, have their face painted as a woodland creature, make a bird box and enjoy a carousel and a bouncy castle.

Mr Bean will be leading a magic show, balloon-modelling and drumming workshops.

There will be music from Honey and the Bear and tales with Bards Aloud, while bosses will be running a tour of their community bee hives.

The ActivLives Keep on Rockin’ singing group will entertain guests, and there will be plenty of fresh food to sample.

Visitors will be able to go at bowls with members of Cowell’s Bowls Club, try their luck with the raffle or tombola and browse a range of stalls.
