The awareness week will coincide with the publication of new Crimestoppers-commissioned research on youth and crime.
Crimestoppers hotline calls – on 0800 555111 – allow members of the public to report crimes anonymously.
Since the service was launched in 1988, nearly 50,000 people have been arrested, including 405 for murder or attempted murder.
