A DRAMATIC rescue operation was launched in Ipswich town centre today after a man fell from scaffolding in Civic Drive and suffered head injuries.The air ambulance was forced to land at St Matthews School, metres from the scene, in a bid to lift the man to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
A DRAMATIC rescue operation was launched in Ipswich town centre today after a man fell from scaffolding in Civic Drive and suffered head injuries.
The air ambulance was forced to land at St Matthews School, metres from the scene, in a bid to lift the man to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
The man, who is believed to have been working on the refurbishment of the New Wolsey Theatre, is said to have fallen from scaffolding and fractured his skull about 12.30pm today.
