CONJURING up the mysteries of Arabia, Ali Baba and the 40 thieves have graced the stage of Bucklesham village hall.

Organisers of this year's production by the Bucklesham Players - their 38th pantomime - are today celebrating after a successful run of the show sold out the venue for a number of performances.

The show ran from January 9 to January 12.

Bucklesham Players secretary and show producer Val Smith said: “We've had a lovely time. There's been a great turn out with full houses on Friday and Saturday.

“The pantomime keeps the group going throughout the year and we are now planning a variety show at the end of April.”

Mrs Smith said the 30 strong cast included 20 children.

She added: “We have been doing pantomimes for a long time. It's a lot of fun.”
