A teenage girl has been sexually assaulted close to Suffolk police headquarters in Martlesham.
Officers were contacted at around 5pm yesterday with a report that the girl had been assaulted whilst walking in an area off Portal Avenue, which cuts through the police complex.
At around 2am on Friday, the victim was walking with a man, believed to be in his 30s, whom had engaged in conversation with her.
They walked along the path in the wooded area next to the road and this is where the alleged sexual assault occurred.
The suspect is described as white, taller than 5’8” and he was wearing a black coat with a bright blue garment underneath and faded blue jeans.
The victim is receiving support from specialist trained officers and an investigation is underway to locate the suspect.
Police have issued an e-fit image of the suspect and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information relating to it to contact them on 101 quoting WO/15/416.
