FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze in an Ipswich allotment today.

Twenty-five square metres of undergrowth was alight at the London Road allotments near Gippeswyk Park.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue service received the call at 5.48pm and the fire was under control by 5.53pm.
