Suffolk police are appealing for witnesses after a car and van were stolen from outside an Ipswich house.

The burglary took place between December 10 and 11 at a house on Rosecroft Road.

The occupants of the house, who are both in their 50s, woke up at around 2am on December 11.

An hour after this they decided to go downstairs to have a hot drink.

When they got downstairs they found their internal porch door was open and their coats had been scattered on the floor.

In the living room they found that the contents of the woman’s handbag had been turned out.

They realised that their blue Ford transit van and black Renault Clio which had been parked on the driveway had both been stolen.

Phones, tablets and a wallet were also stolen.

Suffolk police are looking to speak to people who may have seen a blue transit van around the Whitton estate between 2am and 5am.

Officers are also looking to speak to people who may have dashcam footage of Congreve Road or the Elmcroft Road junction and Whitton Church Lane or Old Norwich Road between 4am and 5am.

Witness should contact South CID at Landmark House on 101 quoting reference 37/71472/18.
