Meredith Road Post Office is following the McColls’ store across the road from early next month.

McColls took over the former Co-op store on the road at the end of last year – moving out of its newsagent shop which included the Post Office.

The Post Office remained in the old shop – but will now move into the new McColl’s store on April 6. The move will also see its hours increase.

The main counters will be open Monday to Saturday: 9am – 5.30pm. A new Post Office counter will be available at other times: Monday to Saturday 6am to 9am and 5.30pm to 10pm and Sunday 7am to 10pm.

This will be an extra 63 hours a week of Post Office services at the store. On demand travel money will be added to the services available.

Suzanne Richardson from the Post Office said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking.”
