AN appeal for information has been made following a number of distraction burglaries in west Suffolk.

There have been a total of six incidents between March 16 and March 25.

Victims include:

Resident in All Saints Walk, Worlington - March 16

Resident in Edinburgh Road, Newmarket - March 21

Resident in Hanmer Avenue, Mildenhall - March 22

Resident in Bishops Road, Bury St Edmunds - March 24

Resident in Thetford Road, Brandon - March 25

Landlady of the Suffolk Punch pub in Leiston Road, Haverhill - March 16

Police are linking the incidents in Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds and Worlington.

Detective inspector Jeff Yaxley said: “These are despicable offences, deliberately targeting some of the most vulnerable members of society.

“We would like to hear from anyone with information as a matter of priority.”
