Officers investigating the circumstances of a crash which killed an 18-year-old woman are appealing for information from drivers.
Carys Hammond, of Bradfield, died after her Fiat 500 collided with the bridge at Brickman’s Hill, between her village and Mistley, on Monday, April 17.
Essex Police wants to speak to anyone who had driven past the site in the two weeks before the collision, and who has dash cam footage.
Detectives also want to speak to anyone who has recently been involved in a collision at the site and struck the bridge.
Tributes have been paid to the Suffolk One student Miss Hammond, who has been described as “vibrant, intelligent, vivacious” and a “ray of sunshine”.
An inquest was opened into her death earlier this week, with a provisional cause of death given as multiple injuries.
Safety campaigners have labelled the site a blackspot.
