POLICE are appealing for information after a teenager was assaulted in Ipswich.
Detectives are searching for anyone who was in the Waterfront area on Saturday night after the 15-year-old girl reported being assaulted as she walked home about 11.15pm on Saturday .
She was walking with two other people along Star Lane but decided to take a short cut and separated from them to walk across St Clement's church graveyard cutting through to walk along the waterfront.
She says she then noticed a man walking in front of her along the dock.
As she approached the man, near to the Neptune snooker club, she sped up but he grabbed her and assaulted her.
Anyone who was in the area on Saturday night or the early hours of Sunday morning should call Ipswich CID on 01473 613500.
