As the new season kicked off at Portman Road yesterday afternoon, thousands of fans basked in the glorious sunshine to watch a thrilling 4-2 win over Barnsley, and one of the most exciting debuts in recent years.
Latest signing Grant Ward stepped off the bench at half time to score a hat-trick in his first ever appearance for the Blues to secure a dream debut.
A penalty from David McGoldrick sealed the 4-2 win to the delight of the home faithful.
