A PRISONER has escaped after an armed assailant stopped a prison van.
The drama, which unfolded at 7.45am this morning, saw the prisoner escape in a car with the armed man after the van driver had been assaulted.
No shots were fired in the incident, near Bedfont Lake in Feltham.
