POLICE are today hunting two armed robbers who tied up staff at an Ipswich restaurant.The incident happened at the Burger King restaurant at Copdock interchange at around 11.30pm last night.
POLICE are today hunting two armed robbers who tied up staff at an Ipswich restaurant.
The incident happened at the Burger King restaurant at Copdock interchange at around 11.30pm last night.
Witnesses spotted a machete and an extendable baton when two men wearing balaclavas walked into the restaurant.
Suffolk police said some members of staff had been tied up during the raid but were unhurt, however the robbers escaped with a large quantity of cash.
Officers are trying to establish if there are any links to a similar raid in Cambridge earlier in the evening.
Any witnesses to the raid, or who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time should call Suffolk police on 01473 613500.
