POLICE were today hunting a knife-wielding robber who burst into a Suffolk petrol station and threatened the cashier before fleeing with cash.The masked man barged into the Jet garage in North Terrace, Mildenhall, and threatened a woman attendant with a knife.

POLICE were today hunting a knife-wielding robber who burst into a Suffolk petrol station and threatened the cashier before fleeing with cash.

The masked man barged into the Jet garage in North Terrace, Mildenhall, at about 7.45pm yesterday.

He threatened the female garage worker with a knife before escaping with cash in the direction of Field Road.

Police said the victim was left shaken but unharmed during the terrifying raid.

Officers said the robber was alone when he entered the premises, but could have had an accomplice waiting outside.

Police described the man as white-skinned, about 5ft 7ins tall and of slim build.

He was wearing a dark blue fleece jacket, blue jeans, a blue baseball cap and a skull mask to cover his face.
