Armed robbery at service station

POLICE are today hunting two men who tried to rob a service station but were thwarted by a 64-year-old woman employee.

The men entered Kentford Service Station in Newmarket at about 7.

POLICE are today hunting two men who tried to rob a service station but were thwarted by a 64-year-old woman employee.

The men entered Kentford Service Station in Newmarket at about 7.20pm yesterday and tried to force her to hand to hand over cash.

She fought off the offenders, who are described as black and in their late teens or early 20s, and they fled empty-handed.
