A PUB landlord was slashed in the face during an armed robbery at a pub in Colchester early today.The incident took place at the Foundry Arms, in Artillery Street, Colchester at shortly after midnight.

The incident took place at the Foundry Arms, in Artillery Street, Colchester at shortly after midnight.
Police say two men “tricked” their way into the pub before threatening the landlord with violence.
A spokesman for Essex police said: “They forced the landlord's wife to hand over a four-figure sum.
“As they left the premises one of the men slashed the 37-year-old victim in the face with an unknown weapon.”
The two men are believed to live locally.

One is described as being white, in his 20s, of stocky build and was wearing a green hooded top and had a scarf across his face.
The second man is described as being of mixed heritage, in his 30s, of skinny build and wearing a black hooded top with a scarf over his face.
