SUFFOLK police were today called to a house in Newmarket after reports of an armed siege in Britain's racing capital.Police were called to a house in Exning Road after a taxi driver reported being shot in the stomach.

Police were called to a house in Exning Road after a taxi driver reported being shot in the stomach.
He is believed to have minor injuries caused by an airgun pellet.
When police arrived a man in a house threatened to shoot, and negotiators were called in to try to end the siege.
No one else is believed to be in the house.
