A 36-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life following a fire at a home in Ipswich.
Police were alerted by the fire service just after 9pm on Christmas Day to the blaze in La Salle Close, and two officers who were first on the scene went into the property to rescue a woman from the fire.
This afternoon, police have arrested a 36-year-old woman from Ipswich in connection with the fire and she has been taken into custody at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where she will be interviewed on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
