FIFTEEN people have been arrested today following an attack on a police station in Great Yarmouth.
Around 100 people threw beer and wine bottles at the station in the early hours today after police had been called to an unlicensed music event in the town's Harfrey industrial estate.
Police officers from Suffolk were among the 100 officers who worked until 10.30am to bring the violence to an end.
Fifteen people have now been arrested on suspicion of a range of offences including serious public order matters, possession of illegal drugs and taking a vehicle without consent.
The police are also investigating a burglary at Thermaglow ltd in the industrial estate and have seized 44 vehicles.
A spokesman for Norfolk police said the support from Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire police forces during the operation “demonstrated the determination, resilience and co-operation of the police forces in the Eastern region in tackling such incidents.”
