POLICE have arrested a number of people following a protest a Bacton Gas Terminal.
POLICE have arrested a number of people following a protest a Bacton Gas Terminal.
Police were called at about 7am to reports of 25 protestors participating in a day of action against fossil fuels at the site.
Officers were deployed to the scene to assess the situation and following police negotiations the protest came to an end at approximately 11am.
Superintendant Jo Parrett, Silver Commander, said: “Our priority at all times was the safety of the public and to ensure Bacton Terminal continued to run safely and securely. The incident was dealt with in an effective manor with a successful and peaceful outcome and I would like to thank any members of the public who were disrupted for their patience this morning.”
