DETECTIVES investigating a late night Ipswich attack which left a teenager with a broken jaw have arrested two men on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.

The arrests come around three weeks after the alleged assault on a 19-year-old Ipswich youth in the town's Cardinal Park carpark.

The suspects, who are 21-years-old and 19 and come from the Stowmarket area, have been released on police bail while detectives investigating the incident – which happened between around 1.30am and 2am on Friday, November 16 – carry out further inquiries.

Both men are due to answer bail at Ipswich police station on Saturday.

The alleged victim had surgery at Ipswich Hospital to mend a cracked jaw, titanium plates were inserted to keep his jaw in place and he had stitches inside his mouth.
