The land of the former Shepherd and Dog Piggery off Felixstowe Road, Nacton was used as a landfill site according to the environment agency.
Simon Kavanagh, 39, of Tudor Place, Woodbridge Road, Ipswich, has been charged with mixing hazardous waste namely demolition waste including asbestos and with operating an installation for the disposal of waste by landfill.
Both offences are said to have taken place on or before August 22, 2007 contravening pollution prevention and hazardous waste regulations.
South East Suffolk Magistrates adjourned Kavanagh's case to February 18 so he could seek legal advice.
