Shoppers got a taste of sushi and serenity during a four-day Asian spring festival in Ipswich.
Sailmakers Shopping Centre staged the extravaganza, which included a range of activities for all ages – and even a demonstration of the ancient martial art of Tai Chi by members of the Taoist Tai Chi Society Group of Suffolk.
From arts and crafts to karaoke, a range of entertainment was also enjoyed by adults and children – including lantern making, origami, painting, and sushi-making.
The centre’s manager Mike Sorhaindo said: “It went really well and I believe we had as many adults as children involved in the various activities with the karaoke proving particularly popular. There were lots of different crafts to try and the photowall was a big hit with lots of visitors keen to dress up. We’ve got more events like this in the pipeline including a Caribbean carnival in August to bring a West Indian flavour to our summer.”
