POLICE are hunting two men who threatened to stab a woman during a robbery in Bury St Edmunds.The 36-year-old woman was left extremely shaken by the attack which happened at about 11.

POLICE are hunting two men who threatened to stab a woman during a robbery in Bury St Edmunds.

The 36-year-old woman was left extremely shaken by the attack which happened at about 11.45pm on Tuesday in Victoria Street.

As the victim was walking along the road, a man approached her and pushed her in the chest. As she fell backwards, a second man grabbed her from behind.

The first man threatened to stab the woman if she did not hand over all her money. He then searched her and removed a small quantity of cash from her pocket and tried snatching her watch. The woman managed to fight the offenders off and they fled towards Park Way and Kings Road.

Although the robbers threatened to stab the victim, no weapon was seen during the incident.

The first offender is described as white, aged about 19, about 5ft 6ins, of slim build and had stubble on his chin. He was wearing a dark long sleeved Nike hooded top, dark combat style trousers and light coloured trainers.

The second man was also white, about 5ft 3ins and of medium build. He wore a green Khaki camouflage long sleeved sweatshirt and matching trousers with black boots.
