Andrew Morley, 42 has been ordered to stay at an address in Poole as a condition of his bail, which was granted by Ipswich Crown Court judge John Devaux.
Morley is accused of murdering his 42-year-old wife Joanne, who died from a blow to her head.
Her body was discovered at Eagle Walk in Bury St Edmunds on June 24.
Morley's case has been adjourned until September 21 when a plea and case management hearing will take place at Ipswich Crown Court.
A memorial service for mother-of-five Mrs Morley was held at St Mary's Church in Bury St Edmunds on Monday.
