IPSWICH: It's a sell out.

All the tickets for Ipswich's hottest Valentines date are sold out as people rushed for their chance to witness a fiery dance-duo and stars of the small screen take to the floor.

But today The Evening Star is giving its readers one last chance to get their hands on a table at the sought after charity Valentines Ball.

Starring the passionate Italian dancers Vincent and Flavia, best known for their roles as resident professional dancers on the BBC hit series Strictly Come Dancing, the event is being held to raise money for St Elizabeth Hospice.

The organisers of the event, Ipswich dance teachers Amelia Gilardi and Robert Fisher, are offering readers the chance to bid for the last table of ten reserved on the edge of the dance floor.

Ms Gilardi, of Columbine Gardens, said they are hoping to sell the final table for as much money as possible to donate to the worthwhile cause.

She said: “We are really excited, I am amazed at how fast the tickets have sold out. They were only on sale for a couple of weeks.

“The hospice is just amazing, they do so much and we have both had family and friends who have been there. They really deserve as much support as we can give them. We really want to raise about 10,000 in total.”

Vincent and Flavia are set to perform four dances - the Salsa and three more which are set to be kept under wraps until the night of the ball.

Patsy Johnson, events co-ordinator at the hospice, said they are also hoping to be able to auction a dance with Vincent on the night.

She said: “We could have sold the tickets ten times over, the support has been fantastic.”

The highly anticipated event is taking place at the Copdock Hotel on Friday, February 19, with welcome drinks sponsored by Mr Fisher's employers Barnes Construction.

If you would like to bid for the last remaining table please send your closed bid, with your name and address to Amelia Gilardi, c/o St Elizabeth Hospice, 565 Foxhall Road, Ipswich, before Sunday, December 20.

Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace were first partnered up by their dance teacher in their teens.

The pair are both Italian, coming from neighbouring southern towns.

They first competed at a professional level in 2001, excelling at both Latin and ballroom dancing.

They have won the UK 10 Dance title four times and twice taken home the UK Show Dance title.

Vincent was partnered with Rachel Stevens in 2008 series of 'Strictly', reaching the finals.

And Flavia reached the finals in 2007 with her partner Matt Di Angelo the year became the centre of a 'Strictly' love scandal on the show.
