LATIN, Caribbean, Brazilian and African grooves are set to fill an Ipswich venue as it plays host to Zubop.

The seven-piece London based band pride themselves on their global influences and create a sound that blends styles that span from South America to South Africa.

The Times described them as "sparky and infectiously rhythmic" while Time Out described their performance as "celebratory music, performed with on the edge enthusiasm.".

Spicy rhythms, catchy melodies and honking brass will all be the order of the night, therefore, when the band arrive to play at the Manor Ballroom on March 16.

They will perform live at 7.30pm but the gig will be preceded by a workshop from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

The induction into their music, called Percussion and South African Gum Boot Dancing, is free when you purchase a ticket for the evening performance.

Tickets for Zubop's gig are on sale now, priced £10, and can be bought at the New Wolsey Theatre Box Office, Civic Drive, Ipswich, or by calling 01473 295900.
