Thousands of fans were left without any colours in their hair when McFly's concert in Christchurch Park in July was cancelled.

But after hearing of their fans' plight the lads sent a clear message through The Evening Star: “It's all about you!” and set about preparing to return anyway.

And on Monday they return to town for their third visit to play to more than 3,000 fans at two shows at the Regent Theatre.

The original concert was cancelled after promoter John Hessenthaler Productions was forced to call in administrators Ensors.

Attempts to find alternative financial backing for the show in Christchurch Park failed - although some fans took up an offer to go to a friendly match between Ipswich Town and Atletico Madrid on the same night.

But McFly and their management were determined not to let the fans down and arranged to come to Ipswich at the end of the autumn arena tour.

Almost all the tickets for Monday's two shows have now gone - the overwhelming majority went to people who swapped tickets from the summer show - but there are a handful of tickets left for the later performance. They can be bought from the Regent box office.
