Local groups in Ipswich are being encouraged to submit their ideas for an after hours event at Ipswich Museum for the national Museums at Night campaign.
Following the success of the Cake and Revolution WI group’s event in March – where more than 300 people enjoyed food, drink and dance at the museum after closing hours – groups are being encouraged to submit their ideas for another event between 7pm and 10pm on Thursday, October 26.
The successful event will be supported by museum staff, who will help publicise it.
Carole Jones, Ipswich Borough Council’s museums service portfolio-holder, said: “This is a great opportunity to do something different for two or three hours and to build closer links with our wonderful museum or with the beautiful mansion.”
Application forms can be obtained by emailing museums@ipswich.gov.uk or a form from the museum. Entries must be submitted by noon on August 11.
