IPSWICH-born Big Brother star Darnell Swallow was today celebrating after the new president of the United States was announced.
Darnell, who moved to the US with his family when he was a child, today said he was having a party to mark the landmark occasion.
The popular singer songwriter now lives in London after being deported from the US but claims he wished he had been in the country to witness the defining moment in history.
Darnell, a popular singer songwriter who made it to the final of this year's Big Brother, said: “I am ready to party. We are definitely celebrating tonight. My aunt texted me really early to let me know and I was so happy.
“I have been rooting for him all the way and I miss the fact that I wasn't there to see it. That is the thing that is going to mark my generation.
“I was telling all my friends in the US to go and vote. My mum's husband's sister was on the Obama's campaign so we were all for him.”
