PUNTERS playing the East Anglian Air Ambulance lottery can now win twice as much.

The prize for the winning ticket has been doubled from £250 to £500.

Brian Cave, fundraising manager for the air ambulance charity, said the boost was because of an increase in lottery membership over the past three months.

As well as a larger first prize, there will be £300 split between the consolation prizes in the weekly draw.

"The lottery is proving a very popular way of raising money for this vital service, and we're delighted to be able to increase the prizes on offer to try to tempt even more people into have a flutter for a genuinely good cause," added Mr Cave.
