EAST Anglian Air Ambulance was called to the beach at Thorpeness after a man fell from a mountain bike.
The 53-year-old was flown to Ipswich hospital with facial injuries after the 11.20am Easter Sunday accident.
An air ambulance spokesman said that the man, who has not been named, was treated at the scene and given spinal immobilisation before being taken to hospital for observation.
The RNLI inshore rescue boat was passing and stopped to give further assistance.
