Biker airlifted to hospital after crash

A MOTORCYCLIST is in a serious condition following a crash in Brandon this afternoon.

A MOTORCYCLIST is fighting for his life following a crash in Brandon this afternoon.
The man came off his silver Victory motorbike after a collision with a silver Vauxhall Vectra at around 1.10pm today on the A1065 Brandon Road.
An air ambulance crew took the rider to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds.
A police spokesman described his injuries as life-threatening and said there was also a severe injury to one of his legs.
The collision initially caused huge traffic problems with vehicles queuing up as far back as Fiveways and the A11.

The road reopened at just after 3pm.
