2. At Twenty5, St Nicholas Street

Reviewer Becky B wrote: “My boyfriend and I came here for an early Valentine’s meal.

“We were not disappointed! I had the scallops to start which were cooked perfectly! My boyfriend had the roasted carrot soup which he really enjoyed! (I may have sneaked a few spoonfuls and loved it too!) I had the sirloin steak which was delicious and accompanied by a garlic and herb butter! My boyfriend had the burger and his only disappointment was being too full to have a pudding! I was sold on the creme brûlée and we are definitely looking to come back soon.”

Coming highly recommended by Mr Thomas, who wrote: “This is a lovely restaurant with a pleasant, relaxed vibe and seems very authentically Turkish. The food is very tasty and the menu varied - it’s definitely not all about BBQ meat...although consequently, this does put it at the higher end of the price range.

“Its proximity to the Regent means it is convenient for show-goers. Book as early as you can if you are on a tight schedule and if not, book in well afterwards as the pre-show rush did seem to overwhelm the kitchen on the night we were there. It’s not everyday dining but we’ll certainly be back!”
