The fire, which is thought to have been an arson attack, is not the first to have taken place at the building with crews attending numerous attacks in the last year.

Crews were called to the Peters Ice Cream parlour, in Grimwade Street, at 2.23am today and tackled a small fire in the roof.

At first it was believed people may be inside but a check of the building showed that it was empty.
