A fire broke out at a two-storey home in Quentin Close, Ipswich, at 11.27am today.
Two fire crews attended the blaze and, wearing breathing apparatus, used two hose reel hets and one covering jet to put out the fire.
The ground floor of the property was heavily smoke logged, firefighters reported.
It is believed the blaze began in an extractor fan.
The fire was extinguished by 11.51am.
