EMERGENCY services were called to a dramatic incident this morning after reports that two boats were on fire.
Fire crews, coastguard and police were sent to Thorpe St Andrew near Norwich at just after 3.30am to find a broads cruiser well alight.
Fire crews from Norwich and Sprowston were called to the scene while Yarmouth Coastguard's Hemsby Broads Rescue inland launch was also dispatched, along with ambulance crews and the Winterton Coastguard.
The flaming vessel eventually sunk into the river Yare and after a search of the area it was confirmed that nobody was missing or injured.
A second boat is thought to have also been damaged and the Broads Authority will carry out an investigation into the incident.
