POLICE said tonight they believe that two bodies discovered in a copse near Mildenhall in Suffolk are those of the missing 10-year-olds Jessica Chapman and Holly Wells.
A member of the public made the grim discovery around 1pm yesterday while walking in the woods by the A1065 close to Lakenheath airbase.
Suffolk police were called and officers investigating the schoolgirls' abduction were called in from Cambridgeshire.
School caretaker Ian Huntley, 28, and his girlfriend Maxine Carr, 24, both from the girls' home village of Soham, are still in custody after being arrested on suspicion of their murder early yesterday.
