Body recovered off Felixstowe coast

A BODY has been recovered from the coast off Felixstowe after a crewman was reported missing from a ship today. A spokesman for Harwich Lifeboat Station said a lifeboat was launched following reports of a missing crewman presumed to have gone overboard since 3am from the Baltic Sky 1 ship.

A spokesman for Harwich Lifeboat Station said a lifeboat was launched following reports of a missing crewman presumed to have gone overboard since 3am from the Baltic Sky 1 ship.

The ship was at anchor around 12 nautical miles east of Harwich.

At 10.15am lifeboats from Walton and Aldeburgh, as well as the air sea rescue helicopters from Wattisham and Dover joined in the search.
