Bogus workman targets elderly victim

A BOGUS caller stole an elderly woman's purse after posing as a workman when he called at an Ipswich property.

The burglar struck between 2.30pm and 3pm today at an address in Kelly Road where he told his victim he had come to mend the gutters before making off with her purse.

A BOGUS caller stole an elderly woman's purse after posing as a workman when he called at a house in Kelly Road, Ipswich.

The burglar struck at about 2.30pm yesterday when he told his victim he had come to mend the gutters.

The man was wearing a blue jacket, was in his 30s, with freckles and short black curly hair. Witnesses should contact 01473 613500.
