Bolt fixed on Norwich track

RAILTRACK has replaced a missing bolt on track just outside Norwich Station, which it had claimed did not pose a danger.

On Monday the firm said the defect was not "safety critical.

On Monday the firm said the defect was not "safety critical."

But today, just three days after an investigation by the Evening Star's sister paper the Norwich Evening News, contractors have repaired the section of track.

The issue had been raised by a city rail worker, who spoke of his fears for passenger safety.
