An antique cannonball was uncovered in the front garden of a family home in Felixstowe today.
Police were called to the property in Princes Street shortly after 10am by a worker who had dug up what they believed to be an unexploded bomb.
The Royal Logistics Corps bomb disposal team was sent to the scene and confirmed the object was a cannonball, possibly 200 or 300 years old.
No-one was injured during the incident and there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
