BOOKIES turned down more money on Ronnie Moore as speculation mounted linking the Rotherham boss with Ipswich.
Odds-on Moore dropped from 5-1 to 2-1 at Ipswich bookies Krullind on Saturday morning.
And the book on the vacant manger's job was later suspended as the news broke that it seemed more or less certain Moore would be the man.
But a spokesman for the Ipswich firm said it was likely the book would be re-opened later today, after it emerged contact made with Rotherham United was a hoax.
It remains to be seen if punters will be put off backing Moore, especially with ex-Norwich boss Bruce Rioch emerging as a strong candidate.
Krullind had Rioch available at 12-1 before bets were suspended, but the spokesman said he had been fairly well backed on Saturday morning.
