A VAST collection of Second World War books have been donated to Copleston High School by a former pupil.
Terry Welham, who was a student at the Ipswich school in the 1940s, handed over more than 100 books, which will be available for pupils to borrow from the school library.
Mr Welham, 74, said: “I had no where to keep them all and I thought 'I wonder if Copleston would like them?'
“If they can be of any use, it would be brilliant. I had enjoyable times at Copleston and I'm happy to give something back.”
David East, deputy headteacher, said: “It's a very generous offer and we are delighted to accept the books.”
