POLICE received calls from worried residents in Suffolk after a loud bang could be heard off the county's coastline.
The noise, which was heard at around 5.15pm today has been put down to a sonic boom.
A police spokeswoman said: “We will not be investigating any further as there was no fire or accidents that could have caused the noise.”
