Flux Freestyle, in Cardinal Park in Ipswich, has not opened since Friday morning, with no notice issued as to the reasons behind the mysterious closure.

Families have raised concerns over bookings for later this month, while it is understood parties with a value of more than £100 were scheduled for the weekend and until June this year.

A Suffolk Trading Standards spokesman said no enquires are ongoing. Affected Flux Freestyle customers can call them on 03454 04 05 06.

Matt Spink, manager of Bounce trampoline park in Anglia Retail Park, said two children’s birthday parties meant to take place at Flux this weekend were instead held at Bounce.

He said: “We will look after anyone affected on a case-by-case basis at a discounted rate. It isn’t a money-making stunt for us. We are already very busy. We are just trying to fit everyone in, and will do anything to help anyone who has been affected to ensure they don’t lose out on their trampolining experience.

“We had some frantic people calling us on Friday. They were very desperate. The parents wanted to ensure their child wasn’t left without a party, which is devastating really. It is a massive day for children. It is the biggest day of the year for them, and the parents this weekend were very happy for us to facilitate them at such short notice.

“Give us a call and we will deal with it. We will 100% get you in. We will make room and time. We will make sure we have enough staff and will open early or later if we have to. The parties will go ahead and we will make sure of that.”

Proof of purchase will be required. Call Bounce on 01473 597777.

Flux, which opened at the former Gym and Trim unit above Chimichanga in summer 2016, appears to have suspended its phone number and Facebook page, and its website is “offline for maintenance”.

Attempts by this newspaper to reach the two London-based directors for comment have been unsuccessful. The reasons behind the closure remain unconfirmed.

A message on Flux’s website states: “We are currently undergoing scheduled maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please try back soon.”

Legal & General, which owns Cardinal Park, was contacted on Friday but was unable to provide a comment. The company has been approached for comment again today.

The London-based accountancy firm for Flux declined to comment.
