An eagerly-awaited trampoline and soft-play area which planned to open its doors in Ipswich before Christmas has been put back until early next year.
Bounce, which already has centres up and running in Milton Keynes and Peterborough, confirmed earlier this year it planned to move into the B&Q store at Anglia Retail Park after it closed this summer.
The centre is expected to include up to 30,000 sq ft of trampolines and a 20,000 sq ft soft-play area.
Simon Hoad, executive director of Trinity IM, which owns the retail park, said he hopes the centre will open in Easter. He said: “We were originally hoping to open before Christmas but this was predicated on the closure of B&Q.
“But that has taken longer than expected.
“I think the guys have taken the decision rather than rush it to do it properly and to get in as soon as possible after that.
“It will definitely be coming, it has just taken longer for the B&Q to close and vacate.
“We are hoping to bring forward other operators and regenerate the whole of the site now the council have been kind enough to give support for Bounce.”
Bounce was unavailable for comment.
